Merry Christmas!

Gosh, there's so much to write...I don't really know where to start.  I'll go ahead and start from the beginning.  Guess? had their very first "family" xmas party.  There were popcorn machines, sumo wrestling suits, jumpers, jumbo slides, face painting, raffles, tons of food...the list goes on and on.  I was so happy to find Santa at the party as well.  I wasn't planning on taking Lauryn to the mall to meet santa, so it was definitely a pleasant surprise to be able to take this family photo especially because it's Lauryn's first Christmas.
My sister and her family came down for a few days to spend my mom's 60th birthday and xmas with us.  While the two babies were sleeping, the big girls were able to sneak out for a few hours and hit up pretend city.  wow...it was awesome!!!  i wish i was a kid so that i could play there.  here's a pic of me taking a huge bite out of the pretend sandwich isabelle made at the ralph's fresh fare super market.  seriously??? this place is so neat!!
Here are the two little ones sharing a bowl of gerber puffs.
Lauryn didn't really understand what was going on with the gifts, but we managed to get this pic of her opening some of her presents in front of the tree.  She was actually scared of the tree and refused to sit anywhere near it by herself.
Lauryn is doing really great.  She stayed with her grandparents last night so that we could go to vegas for some R&R.  The trip was awesome, but nothing beats coming home and seeing a huge smile across my baby's face.  I missed her so much!!  Every day, she is taking more and more steps.  Maybe she'll be walking by the end of this year.  is that too ambitious?  We'll see....Happy New year ya'll!!

lauryn's dohl

This arrived not too long ago, and I had no idea it would spark so many different emotions.  Just to name a few...I felt so proud thinking of how much my baby has learned so far.  There was also a feeling of sadness, thinking of how fast she's growing up and THEN the feeling of complete stress took over.
The planning just started, and i already want it to be over.  Don't get me wrong, I want to plan the best party for my daughter BUT I don't deal with stress well, and I just know the next few months are going to be so stressful.  argh!!
