rollin rollin rollin

It's amazing! One day Lauryn woke up and decided she wanted to roll. The last two weeks have been tiring and exciting to see Lauryn use every part of her body to roll over. It's taken about two weeks, but I think she pretty much has the back to tummy roll down. Starting from last week she started to sleep on her tummy too, something she absolutely HATED doing before. I wonder what she will learn to do next? She always has me on my toes! =P

Happy 1st Birthday Jacob!

I am so blessed to have a group of friends at work. This weekend was Jacob's first birthday party (he's the cutie in the blue polo). His mommy and I used to be on the same team for a few years. Even though we're separated now, we still work very closely together. I don't know what I would do if i didn't have these friends to depend on at work.

We are also very lucky to have all gotten pregnant around the same time. Eli, Tori, and Jacob are just a few months apart and Jade and Lauryn are two weeks apart.

It's great b/c we can meet for "play dates" but it's really the mommies hangin out, not the kids! =)

Here are all the wonderful daddies. See, if we can get them to watch the kids more often...it would give us a chance to catch up on all the work gossip! c'mon guys...daddy day care??

Father's Day

This was my husband's first Father's Day, and I wanted to make it special. So we did one special thing for him every day this weekend.
On Friday, he got to open his gift. We got him clothes, no not a shirt and tie, he's a young dad so we got him a pair of sevens and a couple t-shirts!! (fyi, he's a designer jeans whore...he's the first to admit it!)

Saturday, we went to eat shabu shabu in fountain valley. One of his favorite restaurants...he said that was a gift for both of us!

Then on Sunday, I made a special Father's Day breakfast before church. Yes, there they are again...trader joes chocolate croissants!

Lauryn was very excited to be part of the breakfast presentation.

Lauryn is very lucky to have a daddy like Phil. He does so much with her and has helped her grow to be a happy baby! Trust me, parenting didn't come naturally for either one of us...so its amazing to see how much Phil has grown as a daddy.
Happy Father's Day!!

Jump around Jump around

Lauryn's cousins, Izzy and Cami, bought her this jumperoo for her 100th day.
(a little late, I know)

At first, Lauryn had no idea how to play with it, but it didn't take her long to figure it out. Now it's her favorite thing to do!

This is the perfect toy for her right now b/c she loves to stand and use her legs.

In the beginning she was scared of all the action so she was holding on very tightly.
I had to take a picture of her hairdo. You couldn't get your hair like this even if you wanted to. This is ah-natural babeeee~!!

Zot Zot Goooo~!!

Congratulations, Grace! You did it!! (finally) =)

It was my cousin's graduation this past Sunday at UCI's Bren Events Center. Being back on my old college campus brought back so many memories.

Here's my aunt holding Lauryn. Check out LB's peacock hair. crazy.

My mom and grandma. They were proud to see another member of our family walk in a cap 'n gown.

Cousin picture...girl power!!

It was nice seeing Grace graduate from the BEST college ever, but it was also nice to be able to take Lauryn to the school where her mommy and daddy attended, met, and fell in love. One day we will take her around ring road and explain the whole thing.

100th Day

We made it!! (sigh) Today was Lauryn's 100th day with us. In our culture, we celebrate a baby's hundredth day by sharing rice cakes with those around us. It is thought that if you share rice cakes with a hundred people, then your baby will have a long and happy life. Personally, I don't believe in superstitious things but for tradition sake we did order the rice cakes. We shared the rice cakes with family and some friends (friends that were home during the day). I made these labels and put them on the containers before passing it out.

For Lauryn's 100th day, we took some studio pictures. Here are some proofs that were emailed to me. The last one is my favorite!!

Weekend update

Lauryn is now able to sit in the bumbo and enjoy her new view...shoot, it beats staring at the ceiling all day long.

My baby went through another growth spurt this weekend. She was constantly hungry. Sometimes she would want another bottle after only an hour and a half and she would drink every last drop of formula. Check out that tummy!!

Friday night I finally had a chance to watch Twilight. It was surprisingly good. I actually really really really liked it. Usually when I read the book first I end up being disappointed by the movie, but that wasn't the case this time. I found myself watching it over and over again all weekend. I still have the dvd and will probably watch it a few more times before I mail it back to blockbuster. Anyway, I told myself I didn't have time to read anymore of the Twilight series, but I changed my mind. I went to target on Sunday and bought New Moon. I can't wait to see it when it comes out in theatres.
On Saturday, I made these chocolate croissants for breakfast and I absolutely LOVED them. I ate three of the four and I really think I could have eaten all of them. Please please please buy these next time you go to trader joes...it's soooo~ yummy!

They are so easy to make and it comes out just like the picture on the box, no???
